Default engine mount replaced and start to have rough idle

2010 suburban LT 1500 RWD

I just replaced out driver side engine mount and my engine started to have rough idling during parked or Neutral. But it's worst when it's on reverse. I also check the passenger side engine mount it was fine. Did change spark plugs yesterday and it has the same issues. Throttle body is clean and air filter as well, also did change oil last month.

Any other advise on this fix? Thank you sirs

I assume that you did the mount R&R yourself, and had to jack up the engine a few inches to replace the mount? If so, I suspect a vacuum hose pulled off, or a wire pulled off during the R&R.

The mechanic did put a jack on the engine to lift the engine to remove the engine mount. What part should I check? The top engine hoses or bottom sir?

Supurrban - take the vehicle back to the mechanic, and explain what is happening, and make sure that he knows that this happened with that motor mount repair. Do this NOW !!! This is his responsibility !!! my guess is that it's something easy for him to fix.

Sounds like a bad motor mount, maybe the other side.

Did vibration cause you/mechanic to suspect a motor mount, or did replacing the one motor mount and the vibration happen at same time?

Maybe time to let another mechanic look at this.

Good evening sir.

Thanks for replying. The vibration started when I replaced the bad motor mount. Upon checking the passenger side motor mount, it is not damage. Do you have any idea where this strong reverse vibration could be happening?

But I will check and remove the passenger side motor mount and see to be sure.

I've had motor mounts on my 1988 Mazda truck and 1998 Frontier that I could not tell were bad visually until I removed them.

I've not had to do motor mounts on either my former 1994 Suburban or 2005 Yukon, over 200K miles on both.
