Nope. FYI: it's been factory fill in Corvettes since 1990.

Hate to interrupt! I know this information has been talked about before. However, what weight synthetic is everyone running? I am in Missouri and we have cold winters and average hot summers. Shark, what do you recommend. I know there is a thread that talks about this but I cant find it.

By the way, I can add that I remember reading where a lot of people use synthetics in their tahoe and there are no issues when using it! I am going to put some in my Tahoe this weekend if I can figure out what weight. MIght as well ask rather than look, how may quarts on the 5.3L E-85? Thanks.

I think i found the post. Shark I am sure you can confirm.

ZX said that Mobil 1 improves about everything advertised. HP, Torque, fuel effeciency, etc. It is recommended that 5w-30 be used, and 6 quarts is the amount!

Where does everyone buy their Mobil 1, i guess what is the cheapest place?

Best price I've found around here is at Sam's.

10-4. I saw 5 quarts on sale at walmart today but with a quick glance i dont think 5w-30 was an option. I will check tomorrow.
