Engine problems
Hello I own a 2002 Tahoe Z71 with the flex fuel 5.3. I was driving the other day and had to get on the throttle pretty hard. When I did it downshifted and felt sluggish. Didn’t think to much about it. However the past couple of days it’s been getting worse. Way worse. It starts up fine but the longer it runs the worse it runs. It literally is shaking at idle. The more you apply throttle the more sluggish it gets. Also when it’s struggling (while going up hill, depressing throttle more than %15) it makes a rattling noise. Super weird. I’ve checked for codes and only have one for the flex fuel sensor.(had that since I’ve bought it) and then one for the mass airflow. P0101. I’ve changed the mass airflow sensor with a new one in hopes of fixing it. But it made no difference. I’ve also borrowed a fuel gauge and have plenty of fuel pressure. Even while driving I still have over 45 psi of fuel pressure. Kinda at a loss here. Taking it to a shop later this week but figured i would ask here first. Could it be a clogged exhaust? I would think it would take more than a day for it to get clogged so badly.
I am willing to bet ur injectors are clogged
