The stock exhaust has one big honking muffler under the second row seats and a resonator behind the rear wheel. If it sounds good, it's probably not stock.

I saw a "southern comfort" Tahoe at my dealer with a sticker price of $67,000. I hope you got a much better deal than that.
The exhaust tip looks great.

I took mine up to Muffler King and they stock Magnaflow universal mufflers. I had a #11235 ss universal muffler installed with a magnaflow tip ss polished tip like yours for $220.00. They had to add some exhaust pipe due to that the factory muffler is huge compared to the magnaflow muffler they had, but all in all it came out fine. I love the tone on it. I have always used Magnaflows over anything else. Let me know if you want to see pics

I have the magnaflow kit on mine and it sounds great, they have a sound clip on the magnaflow website that should help.

I had a 2003 Z1 with a Magnaflow muffler and Escalade tip. It sounded great from outside, and it was fairly quiet from the inside. I just got a 2008 Z71, and this time I plan on going with the FlowMaster and Escalade tip. The muffler guy talked me out of the FlowMaster last time because of the wife and the sound. According to him the FM is ~20% louder than the MF, and performs ~10% better, and about $20 cheaper.I'll post pics when it's finished.
