Default Exterior lighting issue

Hello All,

I have searched for my issue, but haven't gotten anything that really helps me. If anyone can guide me to the correct place I would appreciate it.

I have a 99 Suburban 1500 4x4 that I have just purchased. It has a strange issue with the exterior lights where none of the rear lights (third brake light excluded) work when the headlights are turned on. No tail lights, brake lights or turn signals when headlights are on. When the headlights are off everything works, but the right rear turn signal starts to go out when the brake is pressed.

The rig has an after market clear lens lighting fixture on the front, but the bulbs are all good and seem to be the right ones.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice
Brandon

Check all the fuses. The turn signal switch is a common problem and presents the same way. All the lights go through it except the third bake light. To prove or dis prove you would need an electrical diagram and a test light.
