Default Factory Undercoating for 2010 Tahoe?

The other day I looked underneath my Tahoe for the first time and found that it had no undercoating. You can see the bolts were bare. Shouldn't there have been some kind of factory undercoating?

The frame has a soft, tar like substance on it. The sheet metal is galvanized, I believe. Not sure I'd worry too much about the hardware.

I am concerned if the hardware is rust resistant. I live in the Cleveland, Ohio area and a lot of salt is on the roads during the winter time.

Paint the hardware that you're concerned about w/ POR.

I really wanted to know if the hardware was rust resistant or not to save me the trouble of doing that.
