Default Finding small parts, IPL?

Is there anywhere I can find an Illustrated Parts List for some of the smaller parts for my '02 'Burb? Things like the center console lid release latch, stuff like that?

What I need, among other things, is the latch/coin tray assy for the front center console.

Your Chevy parts dept can look that up but don't be surprised if you have to buy the entire lid or even the whole console.

So there's no online place we can go to ID part #? If so that's just amazing. I can get IPLs for all sorts of equipment, but not a car? Gotta be one someplace.

I did not say one did not exist online. All I said was where you could go to find the information you were seeking.

My local dealer refuses to give out part numbers when asked. They don't want me to look them up elsewhere. They will of course sell me their overpriced wares.

There are several online oem part distributors out there. GMPARTDIRECT, GMPARTSGIANT, GMPARTSCENTER etc... They have nice diagrams with part numbers, but I don't buy from them either.

Thanks Joe, I will try those. I think I've been to the first 2 but didn't see any IPLs.

Bret, do yourself and your wallet a favor. Spend an afternoon at a junkyard, you can pick up everything you need for a fraction of the cost. The junkyards are loaded with that vintage of Suburbans. Three years ago, I bought a Yukon XL. It needed about 5 to 10 little dinky things such as a radio ****, antenna, and outside mirror.........easy and cheap.

Or, go to the stealership and get ripped off.

I have always found it very helpful over the years to establish a relationship with someone in the parts department. One of the ways you can do this is to drop off a dozen or so Krispy Kremes once in a while after you know one of the parts man. Without fail, once I have gotten to know one of them, I can get a 10 or 15% discount off of their list price. While that's still expensive, it's one of the few options if you want to get a new part quickly.
