Hello guys!
I just bought my first chevy! it's an 02 Suburban LT 6.0!!
At first I wasn't sure it was a 6.0 cuz there is no mention of it on the title! But the previous owner confirmed so did the 317 heads ! I was originally being pushed by my wife to finance a 4runner since we love outdoors and we will be visiting west coast a lot! But I just couldn't justify the 4 runners and their price! Yea they're cool and all but still all used one have high miles and they still want a lot of money! And I don't think there is a greater simpler engine than the LS!
Enough of the rant, This things has rocker panels rust being a midwest car! I dont mind installing the ABS plastic covers with self tappers after I remove most all of the rust from the rockers and treat it properly! And the running boards are gone cuz of bad rockers!
Any recommendations on frame mounted running boards??
Also are there any immediate achilles heel I should look out for on this? Mechanical, electrical or sort of things that should be addressed?
I didn't know these have rear lockers I got so excited when I found that out! Previous owner swapped the cluster with a cadillac escalade one I believe it's got the blue outlines! And he also have trailer brakes and a super duty offroad rear bumper!
I would like to do all the maintenance and make it a reliable daily then do few mods! Thanks for taking your time to read this! And I appreciate your guy's input
