Default Flaking Buttons

I am new to this forum so please excuse me if this has been asked a million times now (I did do a quick search but I did not find what I was looking for). I am looking at buying a 2008 tahoe hybrid and like most GM products of late the AC buttons are flaking, I found the part to fix this. I also noticed that the accessory panel just below the AC panel was also flaking, is there a replacement part for this or any other way to fit it?

Also if I do replace the flaking part will they just do it again? Is there a way to permanently fix the issue?

Thanks.

Mine are flaking as well, in a 2007 Tahoe. Its just a cosmetic issue for me. I wanted to replace them as well, but not willing to spend the money. lol.

Yeah, I know it is just cosmetic, but since I have not purchased the vehicle yet I was going to try to get the dealership to replace them or take the cost off of the price.

Wow, that's pretty inexpensive. My cigarette lighter covers on mine broke off way long ago. I may just buy this one. I wonder how hard it would be to do the cigarette light part of the swap?
