Default Floor mats

Hello all, finally got back into my favorite model of suburban. Picked up a very nice, low mileage 05 Z71. Had a basic question. I swapped the bench for the buckets in the second row. I have weathertech mats in the first and second row. The issue is I can’t seem to find any mats that cover the section in between the buckets. There is a third row piece weather tech sells , but it appears it just goes up the second row seats and stops , leaving the strip exposed in the middle. The newer model suburban mats appear they have this long strip for the middle section, but the mats for the older trucks do not ..anyone have any suggestions besides just making something out of carpet to cover it ? Just seems odd they would leave that middle piece exposed .

I don't know if this helps but I found a Weather Tech mat for between the second row buckets for my 07 Tahoe Z71.

I went with the all-weather ones because of how much easier they are to clean. Mud, snow, spills, just hose them off and good to go without worrying about staining the carpet.

I also struggled to find mats that actually fit right and didn’t bunch up. I ended up checking out hand-finished VW car mats a buddy recommended, they're not for my Tahoe, obviously, but the quality was solid and gave me a good idea of what to look for. Just make sure the ones you pick have a good grip on the bottom and don’t curl.

I have used weather tech in two cars; both rolled away from the door side over time. Weather Tech not helpful when I reached out
