go to your local hardware/lumber store and buy 1-4'x8' 3/4" piece of plywood and 1-2x8-6'. Get 10 feet of 6 foot wide black carpet or whatever matches the interior

you'll need a staple gun, circular saw, and a drill.

Remove the second row seats or bench and 3rd row.

Place plywood inside of the vehicle, measure drop to cut the 2x8-6' and then cut and assemble.

I flat decked my 2008 Suburban. I carry Jet Skis in the back and let the dog roam around back there.

this is about as expensive as one aftermarket floor mat.

you're welcome.

Does anyone know if there exist an after market "plug" to fill the approximate 7" gap that exist from the back of the 2nd row seats to the rear cargo area. Anything I push up against the back of the 2nd row seats tilts down or falls into that gap. Any insight would be appreciated.

Default How do you fold the 2nd row down? 1995 Chevy Tahoe 4 door 1500 Series

Hi All:

The Tahoe I have has the second row of seats in the "40 / 60" configuration and all I was able to fold was the seat bottom of the "40" section by pulling on the "tail grip" which is located on the seat bottom where it meets the seat back. I was not able to figure out how to fold the seat bottom of the "60" section nor how to fold either of the seat backs down.

Do you release a latch somewhere?
Is there an electrical switch you have to activate?

Thank you.
