Folding mirrors

Why do they stop working? Is there some sort of part that is weak?
Neither of mine work now, they just convulse.

The most probable is the use of cheap parts most probably obtained from Chino. Motors look like slot car motors but cost unbelievably HIGH. Cost to replace both mirrors runs close to a grand. I've been there.

Or, I'll sell you my originals - everything works, I upgraded to the HD tow mirrors and no longer need them. The caps are ming blue. Make me an offer.
