Default Front Dash Crack

I have a 2007 Tahoe, and have recently found a crack on the front dash. I was wondering if anybody else has had issues with the dash cracking for no apparent reason. By the way, it is the front section of the dash just behind the airbag cut out for the passenger side.

I'm suprised it would 'crack' with how paper thin the plastic is I thought it would just bend...?

I have never had a problem with any of my other chevy vehicles, so I am supprised also. I heard a pop while I was driving a short while back, but did not think much of it. A few weeks ago is when I noticed the crack. It was small at first, but is getting longer everyday. It is almost cracked all the way from front to back of that small stirp area.
Anybody else have any cracks in their dash.. just wondering if it is a design flaw in the tahoe's 2007 and newer.

I did a search to see if anyone else had this happen and found this thread - my 07 just did the same thing, a crack in the dash right in front of the passenger airbag cutout. I am still under warranty, hopefully it won't be a big deal to get it fixed. Surprised me because this vehicle is garaged and out of the sun unless it is being driven, and if I have to park somewhere else I put a sunshade up.
