Default Front end brake noise or???

Hello,

I have an '04 Suburban with 106,000 miles. Was experiencing a noise/feeling that I can only explain as a "crunching" noise at the front end when brakes were applied hard or when applied coming down a steep driveway. Had the front brakes bled and pads replaced, but still have the issue. Don't really hear it/feel it when stopping easy, but do if I stop quick or when coming down a hill. The noise can be heard by anybody standing outside of the vehicle, too. Rotors are okay. Any suggestions?
