has any one had success replacing the front lights with LEDs?

Specifically the DRLs or turn signals?

Do the bulbs just twist out then get replaced?

I came out of the UPS the other night, hit the unlock and thought DAMN those are some BRIGHT tail lights

 

DRL's, backup bulbs, and to complete the interior, the little lights in the visors. I may abandon the idea of Escalade tails and go with LED's in the stock tails as well..............................Must............ .....stop.................using................... credit................card.

 

what about the front turns?

I have after market all LEDs in my back and like them

they look a lot better in person, i'd like more photos, but i have NO free time

the top / lower are 2 seperate assemblies w/2 levels of light each!

so they all lights up w/lights on, then the top 1/2 gets bright with brakes, while the bottom 1/2 is on the turn signals.

I don't know if i want LED backup as LED is more of a directed light, so it may not work well as a 'flood' lamp to see backing up...

I also don't want the LED ones about my licence plate because that makes it too easy to read! lol

So far to the west I'm lookin' at the water. I don't usually text anyone 'cause I suck at typing on anything smaller than a full sized keyboard. Wait,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I suck at that too. Unfortunately most of us jock types in HS and junior high made fun of the guys taking typing (stupid I know, especially since the class was 90% girls), so I'm at about 30 wpm using a total of 5 fingers if I count thumbs. Now I run a business, so I'm on line most of the day as well. Anyway, the backup bulbs I bought have LEDs in every direction, so it's not a problem. I did find the right bulbs for the turn signals, but I haven't ordered them yet. I'm still dealing with trying to get the right part numbers for the damned Escalade roof rack. Dealer says one thing at one price, GM parts direct says different numbers and pricing............................

 

AIM = Aol Instant Messenger, not texting... it's a live chat program. simlar to Yahoo, ICQ, MSN, etc, every company has its own now... I use Pidgin because it lets me chat on AIM and facebook from one app... yea I got that alot in HS, but now I make more than a lot of those people, so it's all good...

I'm familiar with AIM, I just figured you meant staying in touch while mobile, and I don't type too many messages on my Blackberry. I've been pretty happy with everything I got from this place so far:

I haven't pulled the bulb to look at it but what could be so special about it, its a reverse lamp not a turn signal or multi-element, I wonder if its because of its brightness... I bet you could put a replacement LED in but will it be as bright....
