fuel fill up problems
Hey there! The thing that FINALLY solved it was to replace the gas tank, and then the canister and valve one more time. Spent $100 on a used tank. I've had no problems since! There are apparently baffles/sensors inside the tank that also contribute to the problem. So so so happy they figured it out. I don't think I've seen anyone else mention the tank being part of the issue but it solved the problem for me. Just got the front end painted and she's a happy gal again!
Oops sorry I didn't answer your exact question. When I got the code they replaced a sensor or valve which apparently had gone bad before they replaced the tank and they'd forgotten to check it. That took care of the code and it passed emissions a couple days later. All good!

Hi guys,
I've had the same problem a few times now. This last time it was really bad, i couldn't put more than a dollars worth of gas in without it stopping. Last time I had the problem it was the solenoid, so I figured I'd just throw one on....didn't work. So I did the vapor canister... not that either. In my mind it wouldn't make sense that it was the evap portion since the car has to be running for that system to be in operation. so as a last ditch effort (figuring that I would have to drop the tank) I unhooked the vent tube from the filler neck and blew compressed air thru it.......Viola ... it worked. I want you to know that there was no evidence of the canister over flowing little pellets or anything. IF YOU SEE LITTLE PIECES OF CARBON FROM THE FILTER.... YOU PROBABLY NEED TO DROP THE TANK AND VACUUMN OUT ALL THE LINES. Hope this helps some of you "do it yourselfers" like me!

it's the full pressure regulatior located on top of your fuel pump..see when the tank is pressurized no fuel can enter the tank if not fixed will cause tank to crack over time
Hi there, I'm trying to find out if you all have figured out what the problem was?! Im about ready to sell my Tahoe for the exact reason. I have tried everything, replaced entire evap system components. Except for one line that has a weird plug on end of it, I don't see where it plugs into anything 🤔 🤷 I don't know where it goes any help is greatly appreciated
I had the same trouble you all had with filling up. Took it to the shop and they said when the took the canister off, charcoal beads went everywhere. They blew out all the fuel lines and fuel tank and got it working again when I pump gas in the tank.
Now the problem I have is that it smells like I have a bad exhaust leak. Took it to the shop and they checked my exhaust and there’s no leaks at all. They smell it also but have no idea where it’s coming from. Any help would be appreciated.
