Final Update: SOLVED
replaced the NGK plug with an old AC Delco and the occasional misfire that's triggering a code is now gone. When temps warm up outdoors, I will most likely replace the other 7 NGK plugs as well... most likely going back to AC Delco OEM. The NGKs only have about 10 k on them!
