I have a 99 Burban 5.7 k1500...I was replacing the fuel pressure regulator under the intake manifold cover, and realized that the regulator has no hose connected to it. Now, I am not sure if this is on purpose or am I missing the hose? There is no hose that appears to be loose, or meant for the regulator. Just no hose at all. I am at a loss. Any opinions? If there is supposed to be a hose, what does it connect to from the regulator..? Any help appreciated.

does the old and new regulator have a vacuum port ???

yes, you have a missing/deteriorated vacuum line which is most likely your problem to begin with
no, then it's controlled another way
if the old one didn't and the new one does or visa verse, then something is wrong
