fuel problem

i recently changed the fuel pump and fuel filter on my 2003 tahoe with the 5.3 engine. when i come to a stop it stutters and shuts off. any idea what it could be? the check engin is not on.

hook up a fuel pressure gauge on it. was this an OEM fuel pump?

Welcome to the forum.

Several have used non-OEM fuel pumps and have experienced early failures.

@blaze no its not an oem pump
@73shark. yes i changed it about 8 months ago and it went out again and this time i cant get it to run right.

I second blaze_32001 checking the fuel pressure is really the best place to start then go from there.... Harbor Fright has fuel pressure gauges...as does Amazon
