Default fuel pump

On a 1999 suburban with 5.7 fuel pump there are 3 tubing connections, one is for fuel supply, one is for the return, and the middle is for what ?

I'm using this setup in re-powering a full size jeep with a 2006 lm7 5.3 motor. I'm also hoping to figure out what parts I will need to install a complete fuel e-vap system.

Any diagrams or pictures would really be a huge help

Thanks....

Rick

fuel e-vap system is what hose 3 is for. I would suggest salvage donor vehicle, same YMM as the fuel pump. JMHO, good luck

the tank vents to the evap system somewhere. If there is no other hose into the tank; the hose in question is evap.

trying to go off memory and I'm pretty sure that's where a plastic evap line attaches and routes along the top of the tank to the next connection, is it actually hollow? I want to say some of them have nothing hooked to the middle port.

Exclamation

I have search so many sources about this and even tried "all data" for 99 suburban wrecking yards. I watched a diy video on how to replace a 99 suburban with a 43 gal fuel tank which showed all three ports with hose connections, but they did not explain what three ports where for.....
