Fuel Pump cost how much ?
So, my 1999 Suburban wouldn't start for me this weekend (would turn over). I had it towed in, figured it was the fuel pump. Sure enough it was. No surprises so far. Then I got the bill. Not including the tow, the bill came out to right around $900. I though this job was gonna cost around $450, maybe I'm living in the past. Anyone else have this job done recently, I'm curious how much it costed. I wonder if I got ripped off or if that's how much it costs to work on American vehicles too these days. I may have to go Toyota next time if this is the new norm.
chrishoward49,
The fuel pump on my "99" went in the fall of 2004 and I paid $530.00 to have it replaced. Sounds like the labor rate must have really gone up since then!! (It does sound inflated to me.)
Good Luck, Dondobe

Thanks for the feedback guys. To be more specific for anyone else who reads this, the charges specifically were: W-MODULE = $431.99; FILTER KIT = $21.45; CTR (Labor???) = $520. Oh well, Merry Christmas, there goes a paycheck.
