Unhappy Gas Cap
I have a 2004 tahoe Z71. The tether for the cap broke when I was unscrewing it. Does anyone know if I can replace the tether or I have to buy a new gas cap with tether? Thanks for your help.

My Sierra had a broken tether. Daughter bought gas and forgot to put the gas cap back on. I bought a replacement cap with the tether off Amazon for $20.

pretty sure you have to get it with the cap or make something up on your own

+1 on the Amazon search, they do list a generic tether, but I'd consider the whole kit and caboodle cap and tether...
