Default Genuine leather seat or not?

I was wondering if the leather seats on 2007 Tahoe are genuine or not. Any ideas?

My 2007 Chevy Tahoe has dealer installed leather seats. However, I think it is leatherette. How should I ask the dealer about this?

Thanks.

The front and second row seats are leather but as the case in most vehicles only the part of the seat that is actually leather is the part that your body touches when seated.
The sides and back of the seat are vinyl.

The 3rd row seat is all vinyl.
The vinyl used is very high quality, extraneous effort is made to match it as closely as possible to the leather material.

Dealer installed leather seating areason the front seats and "pleather" on the back seats and all non-seating areas. One cannot visibly tell the difference. However if you lightly press against the leather and pleather you will notice that leather will have a slight "wrinkling effect" while the Pleather will not have the slight wrinkle near where the indentation is made with your finger. I dare say I prefer the vinyl for ease of maintenance etc. It is a good compromisebetween cloth and factory leather plus real easy to get dealer to discount from their "options" label you know the one ....where they also list the Ziebart, VIN etching, interior treatment, and window film.... yeah now you remember. Oh boy how I enjoy car shopping. Oops I almost forgot to include RUST PROOFING.....yeah

As others have said, seating surfaces in first and second rows.

Yet they charge $300 or $400 more for the third row when it's ordered with leather. Pricey vinyl?
