Thanks Shark, Yukon has not really given me very many problems so have not been here in a while. Had an oil pan gasket leak a while back but the 5yr 100,000 mile warranty took care of that. The 3 years had run out but only have 33,000 on the truck so the powertrain is still covered.

Just called GM NAvdisc center and as seeing how I have never received an update to my nav system they are sending me the latest disc which is presently out of stock but I can wait on a freebee.

I've noticed that since I've upgraded to the 2011 DTS/SRX/Avalanche/Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon/H2/Silverado/Sierra Nav Disc (Part number: 20940248) that sometimes my GPS won't lock in on my position. Anyone else notice this? I'm thinking there may be a bug with the firmware upgrade. Taking it to the dealership tomorrow to see if there might be a TIS update. Can anyone confirm?

I keep getting the "GPS" symbol w/ a red slash thru it. But it still knows where I am and still maps routes. The first time I got that, it didn't work at all but seems to now. I'd take it in but it's so sporadic that they probably couldn't find anything.

we currently have the 3.0 version and like you shark, it has the dash through the GPS symbol sometimes but it all works fine. I just bought the 6.0 version off Ebay ($110...) so I will follow up when I install it as to improvements

Mine started that way, with the GPS with a red slash through it. Now it doesn't recognize its heading. At the dealership now looking to see if there is a TIS update or at least a service bulletin.

Determined that at the same time the GPS w/ the red slash appeared, my Valentine 1 went crazy. Didn't make the association 'til I got it back from their shop and it still did it. Tech suggested GPS or XM interference. If I hold the unit close to the console, it's fine but anything above that, it sees Ka signals all around. Now I'll have to take it in and convince them that something is wrong w/ the nav.
