Is that the same P/N that you had in post #1? 6.0c?

ok I got the new disk last night and it is a nice upgrade from the version 3.0 that was in there. the best thing is the navigation turns right on and the rear camera pops up right when you put in reverse. with the older version it would take a few seconds to cycle past the blue screen when it turned on.
the clock #s are larger
the streets have a few new colors to help differentiate the sizes.
overall operation seems faster also.
I say it is a nice upgrade for sure - especially since I got it off ebay for $100...

On mine, it seems to be temperature related. Today I started out at 64* and had it (no GPS) and Valentine 1 interference but after about ten minutes, all was good. Will probably be able to tell for sure this summer.

I have noticed on my 08 after a day(10 hours ish) of sitting at work, when the temp is in the low 60's the gps wont have a signal. When I start to move, the cursor WILL follow me and after about 30 sec the symbol goes away. I think it just doesnt have as strong a signal as it would like.

I think they did a "cost reduction" redesign and the new design is a POS. The original design wasn't very good compared to a Garmin but at least it didn't mess up my Valentine 1. And then there's the non-working voice command issue.

Hi, I have a 2007 Avalanche, someone told me that GM gives free map update discs for this year. Sure enough, I sent them an email, they asked for my VIN and the current disc is in the mail.
NO CHARGE! beats spending $199 for a new one.

What a bonus! It is nice to get surprises like that, isn’t it? Keep enjoying your vehicle.
