Default GM Navigation/DVD

Its done as per the directions and parts listed here. It took about an hour and a half, the nav unit was brand new from ebay at a cost of $813.01 with shipping. Since it was new, I didn't have to go to the dealer for the Tech 2 stuff. The antenna was from GM Parts Direct.com, the cost was $52.30. The latest Map DVD, 25850927was from ebay $81.01 with shipping. I also ordered the JP Customs wire harness for the factory nav installVSS to the nav, I got the camera option for$5.00 more, total $48.00 since Imay installthat at a later date. Total for this, $994.32.
The worst part of the install was removing the bezel around the radio. When the directions say there are 7 clips, these are the hardest clips to remove, ever! I said a few bad words and thought for sure something was going to break, but it didn't. If you look at this item from ebay, 220162313332 DVD Navigation Enable / Unlock , it shows a few pictures of how everything comes apart. I saw another similar to this that was a vidio but can't find it now, but it was very informative. If you follow the directions in this section, they are very good, but a picture or two is worth a thousand words!
I want to thank all who responded to my questions for help. Guy and Gals, if you want a nav system, I think anybody with a little time and the great directions from this site in hand, you tocan do this.
Now on to my next quest, the headrest monitors......I used the DVD version of the navbecause I plan on hooking this up to a set or two of monitors for the kids now that mom has her new toy!!!
All the best and THANK YOU!

An update on the JP Customs order...here is what I sent back to them today, if you use these guys, be careful as you can see, they didn't send all the stuff at once and now want to charge me the same amount for the rest of what they said was included, the OnStar plug!

Yea, I guess it was told to me twice that it was included, the day I ordered
it, but was specifically told it was on back order as you could not get the
plugs to make them up. Then in late October when I called to see when I
might get it, the guy on the phone told me you were trying to find a cheaper
source for the plugs since your first source was so expensive you had to buy
such a large number, but I would defiantly be sent one in November, but
probably more like December.
Now, its another $35.00. Maybe this is how you do business, but I don't
appreciate it. I am an honest person, and thought your business was too! I
will make sure I correct that on the Chevrolet forum for you.
Disappointed, that you have my money and but didn't honor and send all of my
order.
