GM Protection Plan
My warranty is almost up on my suburban. I am thinking about getting the GM Protection Plan extended warranty. I would love to hear comments if you
wish you would have got the extended warranty
glad you didn't..
wish you wouldn't have...
glad you did...
or just comments on if you think it is worth it.
Thanks

westpond GMPP is the best you can get... if you can get it for a price that you feel is reasonable go for it... GM is gambling you won't need it you are gambling you will....
I bought the GMPP once for my 1985 Pontiac Fiero, paid $800 bucks for it, used it once to cover a shelled AC compressor that would have cost me ~$800 out of pocket so I broken even....have owned 3 Chevy Trucks since then and have never purchased the warranty...
my 93 step side, flawless never had a problem with it and raced the hell out of it..
97 Tahoe went through 2 transmissions one on GM's tab one on mine...
07 ( current) 62K miles only been to the shop for 1 item a leaking AC fitting fixed the 3rd day I owned it, thou I do take it to my dealer for my service needs i.e. oil, tire rotation...
Nut shell if you can afford it and want the extra security of the warranty go for it, but you could also just put that $1000 aside for any repairs and if you don't need it its yours...

Seeing how these things are put together nowadays (not just GM, all the manufactures get their parts from the lowest bidder, often one and the same), expensive repairs are not if but when. I'm actually thinking about getting the GMPP after listening to all the dissatisfied Malibu owners.
