Default Growling sound on 99 Tahoe
I have a 99 Tahoe Z71. It just started making a growling/vibrating noise when driving between 50 and 60mph. But it only does it when under acceleration and/or going up hill. It stops when you let off gas or speed up. It sounds like its coming from the rear or transmission area. Any ideas?

could be U-joints, I'm not sure if the 4x4 have split shaft drive shafts but it can also be the split shaft carrier bearing (it was on my brothers Ford F150)

Thank you, it was the u-joints. I replaced both and no more noise!
