Hard starting - 99 Tahoe Vortec 350
I have a 99 Tahoe with the Vortec 350, 4x4, 4 door with the tow package.
Before I installed my remote start, I was having hard starting problems. I would have to press the gas while starting it.
Recently, I've had to replace my fuel pump and fuel filter. I had to pound the retaining ring off the fuel filter. Rust fell into the tank.
On top of that I might be having battery/alternator problems also.
Anyway. I think I need to check the pressure at the fuel rails. There's a Harbor Freight near me. I was wondering if anyone has tried this or if anyone knows this will work:

That appears to be a universal gauge kit that requires you to cut the fuel lines and insert a fitting into the line. That kit specifically says it does not fit GM throttle body systems, which is what your vehicle is. Your vehicle has a test port for testing the fuel pressure. It's a schrader valve just behind the throttle body on the fuel rail.
