Has anyone switched out 2009 Suburban side mirrors?
I was thinking about switching out my side mirrors on my suburban. I have no puddle lamps. If I purchase some, will I be able to simply plug them into my existing harness and they will work? Will the signals and all that stuff work? Also was looking at maybe exchanging them with escalade side mirrors to get the chrome look on both parts of mirror, because chrome covers leave out the L portion attached to truck out. Has anyone switched out with escalade mirrors on an LT before, or switched with mirrors on an ltz? Any issues or it won't work?
Close,
I put the Escalade mirrors on my 09 Silverado LTZ. They bolted right on and puddle lamps, heat, turn signal, auto dim, and power adjust /power fold were all functional. Puddle lamps only come on at night when unlocking with remote.
The only other issue is the gap where the chrome Esky door trim meets the mirror. Suburban and Silverado dont have this chrome so a gap is left.
Mirror harness plugs into door modules (switch panels). You may want to make sure you have the correct pins for puddle lamps in your door modules.

Yeah im wondering if I have pin set up on my LT to support those mirrors. Being that you have an LTZ I can see how you would. I know the powerfold, heat, and maybe the turn signal wouldn't work, but really just want the chrome and puddle lamps. Mostly the complete chrome look the escalade mirrors have, and or LTZ
Aftermarket guy at local dealership said some LT's are prewired to handle LTZ mirrors, some are not, but its 84 bucks an hr to find out..

I think the turn signal will work. As for puddle light, folding mirrors if your driver side door module supports it will have to be reprogram in order for folding mirrors to work because of your truck being lt. hope this helps
