Default Headlight bulb swap on '07?

How in the world do you swap headlight bulbs in an '07 Tahoe? My dad has had his for almost 1 month and we want to put Silverstars in, but can't get the headlight assembly off. I removed the 2 bolts which hold down the top part, but something on the bottome of the assembly is holding it back.

I checked the owner's manual and it didn't show how it's done. It said, "For any other bulb replacement not in this manual, check with dealer".

You would think swapping headlight bulbs would be easier.

Let us know how this comes out- I'd like to upgrade my factory bulbs with Silverstars or possibly HID's.

yo i got my 8000k diamond white hid's today.. oh wow they look awesome, wish you could figure out hwo to get them out huh..lol dude, on the driver's side, pull the rubber cover off "has 2 clips holding it on the top", oh yeah the cover behind the light. and you unplug the plus and then twist the bulb and it comes right out.. easy.. on the passanger side, pull up on the entire air box, it pops right up. just take the hose off after the mass air flow sensor and unplug the sensor. there's a cover behind the light on this side also.. take the two top clips out and just move the cover out of the way. unplug the light, then you twist the light pull it out a bit and turn it so the plug faces down again and it comes right out. its actually really easy, just leave the assemblies in the truck.

Where'd you get them? Do they offer a 4300k? How much?

Whose HID kit did you get?
Is it the type with the ballasts / starters etc?
Where did you mount the electronics?
Looks like the second battery tray on the drivers side is a good place to mount stuff

I agree about the spare battery tray since there isn't any compartments in the rear any more. At least my TrailBlazer had a shallow compartment in the floor that would hold jumper cables, trailer hitch, and socket set. Then there are small compartments in the side. My '07 just has this humongous console. Not even an overhead cubby for sunglasses. Talk about de-contenting. WOW!
