Default headlights upgrade

Ok to all who know.
1- this the Best Tahoe Forum I have visited ...
2- I am planing to cover my 07 hoe headlights with the gt styling covers.
I am expecting some degradation with regards to the lights .
Anyone can suggest an upgrade.
Should i go for wat i have read some people write HID's

In need of some sound advise. any input will be appreciated.

are you going with the the blackouts? If so, the only thing you can do is to put HIDS to increase the lamp output if you plan on keeping them on at night. Upgrading toxenon bulbs will helpvery little.However, just to let you know, front blackout lens coversin our state are illegal, even if using them in the daytime. Also GT Styling recommends removing them before turning on the lights to avoid heating problems but I haven't seen to many problems with heat build up.
