Default heated front seats

Looking for some guidance with my heated seats on my 2005 suburban. I know nothing about how they work or components involved to operate the heaters. That being said i need a heated seat education. Anyway when I turn the seat heaters on with the door switch (drivers or passengers switch) the heater comes on for about 5min.then shuts off, if you try to turn on again it will only stay on for about 10sec.then shut off. Any ideas and help would be appreciated.

You likely have an element that is almost broken, the heated seat sensors show to much resistance and turns it off like a breaker switch. In due time they will stop working

Both seats quit working at the same time and I know the seats work independently. Does the sensor have to read both seats even though only one seat is turned on?
