Default Heated Mirror Problems

Hello, I have a 2007 LTZ Burban and the heated mirrors, and heated rear window don't work. The rear window got replaced 2 years ago but I dont think the heaters have ever worked. This winter has been a real pain because of all the freezing rain. And today (I'm in Binghamton NY) we just got a lot of snow from nothing to 6 inches over night, then freezing rain the morning, to snow again. I COULDN'T SEE A THING! Thank heavens for that back up cam! Oh and now my back cam doesn't come up when I go into reverse. It does when i do the window lock over ride though...

Thanks for all help,
Joe

I would first start with the fuses and make sure that nothing is blown. If it is, replace the fuse and check if it blows again.

If the fuse if good, you should try and gain access to one of the power mirrors and check voltage with a voltmeter. Check to see if there is any power with the heated mirror switch on and then again off. If the mirrors are getting power with the switch on, then you should look for some new mirrors / parts. I assume that you do not have extended warranty on your truck.

I have attached a diagram of the mirrors for your review. They bolt on pretty easily and are not difficult to replace; just expensive.

You may want to look at gmpartsdirect.com for a replacement.

In the case of the rear window, if it was replaced, you may want to take it back to the installer and discuss.

I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue with your Suburban. “mulmur1” offers some good suggestions. If you continue to experience this issue, I recommend having the vehicle inspected by a certified technician for an official diagnosis. They will be able to provide more information, and repair option(s), after doing so.
