Default heated seat upgrade

hi, anyone know how difficult it would be to upgrade non heated seats in an '072lt to the heated ones? right after i purchased my tahoe the gm accessory website had the oem kit but they removed them after a short period. can i just purchase the parts and install them and everything work or is there more to it. i want to go with the oem look for switches. i did find some parts on a gm collision parts website (switch, control module, and element) but not sure if the wiring would just plug in somewhere convenient. i would appreciate any help.

I may be wrong, but I think you actually have to buy new seats. Not to mention wiring harnesses, switches, fuses and stuff like that.

Iwould suggest going after-market. Audiovox makes a set that is pretty good and only costs around $250 I believe. The switches can just be mounted by your power seat switches or you can run the wires into the door and mount them where the OEM ones would go.

You may have to get some programming at the dealer to get it to work.
