also later today i was stuck in traffic for 30 to 45 min the truck started to over heat once i truned off the ac it was back at normal temperature.

So my question is what is casuing this? I came to the assumption that the thermestate is bad. Due to the two symptoms that its showing but what do you guys think?
And one more thing, LOL...the cabin air filter. You've noticed that when you switch from outside air to recycling cabin air that the volume of air increases when the AC is on for example. Again, my GUESS is that is because air from the outside is drawn through the cabin air filter, where recycled cabin air does not (I believe that's the case). So if a filter is dirty that can restrict the air flow and contribute the heating or AC issues too, possibly. The cabin air filter on by 01 Burb is behind the glove box, and is in two pieces. Many are unaware that this filter even exists, as was a friend who has an 01 Silverado. When he did have them changed after 200,000 miles they looked like carpet padding. He was shocked that he knew nothing of them. This item is probably irrelevant to your problem, but every little thing helps.

i think i hear a small hissing sound something from the AC accumilator. That could cause warm air. How about overheating also hear the hissing sound when i turn off the truck.

Might be getting to where you visit an independent ASE mechanic to let a second set of eyes look at it.
put more anitfreeze just in case and still heats up after 36 min drive it around under 5 mph for about 1 min than cools back down. What do you think? Ive ordered a thermostate and im going to replace that. The cap i saw and it seems good. Dont think its the water pump just because of how quickly it cools down. Its not a leak because if it was adding more anitfreeze should of temporaryly solved the problem. What do you guys think?

also when i was going to connect the ac pro the guage was in the yellow. Could that cause the warm ac to much pressure? If so how can i release the pressure

Get a pro to pull and weigh the refrigerant amount, only way to really tell the refrigerant amount. Sure hope that "can with a gauge" didn't contain any sealers, or you may be sh*t out of luck !

why would sealers would be bad? Clogged hose lines? And i don't think so since I've added the 134a couple of months ago.

I've read that AC shops will not service systems that contain sealers, as sealer can muck up their recovery/filling equipment. A "fix in a can" is not a fix !!!

Yes - I know these companies advertise how easy this is !!! Ask at http://autoacforum.com/ if you don't believe me.

I thought that it was established early that your AC compressor was engaging.

Remember: you have two issues: (1) AC and (2) overheating of the engine at idle/low speeds

Hmm - could your replacement fan clutch have been bad????????????????
