O.K. so my wife fills up the car yesterday at the station and when she starts the car the gas gauge reads empty! So she continues to drive the car quite a bit and then today it just died. So I go to the car with a can of gas and try to start it. Nothing! It sounds like the fuel pump is working so I'm clueless right now! Is there a fuel reset switch on it? Any ideas?

 

How much fuel did you put in it? I know it may sound like a stupid question. but you're gonna need enough to get to the fuel pickup.

 

I ran mine DRY!- (shutdown on highway) and it restarted and ran with just under a gallon put into it. so, that may not be the issue.

 

Does a low fuel warning light come on the dash? If so, how many gallons are left approximately?

 

Yes, an indicatorlight does come on. I think there's a warning 'ding' as well. If I remember correctly, I put 22 gallons in after the warning light came on, so that would mean there were approximately 4 gallons still in the tank. 4 x 15mpg = 60 or so miles to get to a gas station.

 

yeah it is about 4 gallons left when your light comes on. avg if you get 15mpg 60.
