Help. Changing window lifts on 2000 Suburban

I changed the window lifts on my 2000 suburban. Both back doors. Now I can't open either door from the inside or out. I don't know what to do.

Sounds like you accidentally disconnected the rods connecting the latch. Open it back up and have a look.

ok. There lies the rub. I'm not sure how to get the panels off with the doors closed.
