Default Help identify this leak??

Does this look like evidence of the intake manifold gasket leaking? At idle my suburban has been a little rough, and i'm wondering if this could be it. From what i've read I'll have to pick up a mirror to see where the leak is coming from since its on the back side of the motor. If I get in that deep does anyone recommend a performance intake manifold that will still allow me to pass CT emissions?

what year and engine size? It would be my guess that it could be a connection to the intake manifold leak, or the manifold itself....

Must be a 5.7 engine. That is exactly where the first signs (sometimes only)of the intake leak appear.

MDTAHOE are you thinking its the quick connection leak or the manifold leak?

Why dont you pressure test the system and see? It may be a rotted hose or connection at the heater core or bypass hose. Could be a clogged/leaking/broken heater core also. Dont be so doom and gloom until you get concrete evidence.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the advice guys. It ended up being a corroded/split heater hose connector on my 95 burb 5.7. Not too bad of a fix.
