HELP - Service Stabilitrak & Service Traction Control
I ran the code reader when mine did the same thing. Said to replace all this different crap. It wasnt a constant fault so i figured it was electrical irregularity. I noticed it happen ed more when it was cold. As simple as this may sound, i replaced my battery. My old battery had enough juice to start my vehicle but didnt have the cold cranking amps as it did when new. Since the. I have had no issues with stabiltrak service lights, misfiring codes etc. Hope this helps as i too was getting aggravated
I'm having the same issues with my 2011 Siverado, crew cab, with only 57K miles on it. I took it to my dealer, and they looked at it, and told me that it should only be a minor issue when it gets cold and we have snow on the ground. Well.... the problem is now, and I noticed that the warning comes on when it is warm to hot outside. When the weather turns cooler / cold, the warning light does not come on at all. Seriously, the service manager said " I wouldn't worry about it that much, but it's up to you if you want to get it replaced, as it's going to run you about 365.00 bucks."
Are you kidding me ?? Well, I took his advice, and now this thing is driving me nuts everytime I start the truck, (when it's warm outside) and having this alarm go off.
I have always been a Silverado fan, and will be trading again this coming fall, but now I'm having second thoughts on both the vehicle as well as the service. I wish I could just disconnect the thing, as the truck doesn't change as far as driveability is concerned when the warning comes on.
JUST REALIZED I MAY HAVE THIS IN THE WRONG AREA, SO IF ONE OF THE MODS WOULDN'T MIND MOVING IT TO THE SILVARADO AREA, THAT WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS

I’m having the same issue with my Silverado on warm days. What was the fix?
Code scan is the only way to know what the issue is with a scan tool that can read more than just the P codes.
Kind of late replying to OP, but i had this issue, plus loss of power and a cylinder #7 misfire. after watching a few youtube clips, this is what I did.
1. cleaned throttle body ($4.00 for can of cleaner). my TB was unbelievably dirty.
2. replaced throttle position sensor ($50 O'Reilly)
3. replaced spark plugs (OEM Iridium AC Delco, $64 O'Reilly)
4. replaced #7 coil (OEM AC Delco, $100 AutoZone)
After $218 invested, she is running amazingly well. no lights, no issues.
The whole process took roughly 3 hours in my driveway.

Hey everyone! Looking for some help on this. My 2013 Suburban just started doing this “service stabilitrak” “service traction control” this week! I checked for codes last night with my code reader and I have 0 codes! Wtf? Suburban runs and drives just fine otherwise. I had the plugs and wires changed about 10k miles ago, so I don’t think it’s the plugs.
TC and stabilitrak lights on the dash will not go away.
Also, I have neglected to have my TPMS sensors reset since switching over to my summer tires, so my TPMS light has been on all summer. But now, with the stabilitrak light turned on, the TPMS light went off??? Related??
I cleaned the MAF sensor last night, with no effect.
help!!

Try doing a global reset 1st. Disconnect positive and negative battery cables, hold them together for 30 seconds then reconnect battery. Sounds like, you may have spun a wheel or took off to hard and it triggered a code. If it comes back on after this, I would say it's a speed sensor. Hope this helps. Good luck.
From scanning many forums your most likely culprit is the “steering column angle sensor”
I do not have a code .
Codes vary by model and sometimes year of model .
And for some stupid reason the sensors do as well . I have personally spent several weeks tracking down a solution I hope fixes my issue .
Best of luck in your search , patience will definitely be required and I recommend you take notes to refer to especially when it comes to part numbers. There are 3 part #’s all discontinued for 07 Silverados for example.
Also there are no current aftermarket parts available either .

i have a 07 Chevy Tahoe 4X4. i just changed the motor mount and in the processes had to disconnect the steering to get to the driver side mount. so now my stabilitrak and brake system comes on only when its cold in the morning other then that its fine. I have even disconnected the batter and used a scanner to clear this code but it still dose it. any clue on how to resolve this issue.
