I have a 07 Acadia that i cleaned the throttle body on and now it will idle great for about 20 minutes then go to 3000 rpm and stay.
i have done the reset numerous times with the same outcome. I lost!

check for vacuum leaks. Listen for a hiss or spray around the intake with a plastic safe flammable aerosol like starter fluid.

Other than that, the computer needs to be read by an OBD scan tool. Requested idle, ECT, MAF... things like that.

IMO only, you were on the right path with looking at the MAF but I would never blow air through it. There is a MAF cleaner with instructions that you should be able to get at any parts store. Buy it and follow the directions. There is also a cleaner for the MAP sensor, may be the saame cleaner as the MAF and that should be done at the same time. "Maintenance pays and breakdowns cost" is what my dad always said and I am a firm believer in maintenance and you are too because you were cleaning the throttle body and plate.
