Me again with the 01 suburban LS. Rooting around under the suburban and it looks like the y pipe (collector, whatever you call it) has one of the pipes almost touching the transmission pan. Is this normal?

my exhaust crosses over the transmission pan. Same transmission. They're both hot, so ...


what does "almost" mean? Be specific ... One foot? One inch?
