I got mine through my dad who is retired from Chevy. I traded on my own and got the dealer down then hit him for the employee discount after that. Traded a 1993 suburban that had 190,000 miles and had been wrecked about a year before that. $9200.00 damage. A drunk hit us at a red light and had no insurance, image that... our insurance payed to have it fixed.
I got a fully loaded LTZ that sticker was $54,000.00.
I did finance through GMAC. I hate the car payment but hey it's the first one in about 6 years we've had so it's just a pain no matter what.

I bought the first one off the truck in the my area. (Jan 06) Paid way too much for way too long.
