Default How do I disable the trun signal clicker???

I did the navi upgrade thanks to this forum for the help. After I installed a 4 channel
AMP the turn signal is pretty loud and annoying. Has anyone figured out how to disable
or fix this problem yet??? Yes I have it in normal in the chimes menu. Also since I also
upgraded the speakers I get a whine noise when I accelerate or decelerate.

Whine noise is usually engine noise. Check your ground, rca's and your converter. You might need to add a ground shield to your rca's

I think as long as you have the factory radio/system you are always going to have that noise. It comes from the speaker through the data bus system of the vehicle, the only way to get rid of that would be to change your radio.

That's funny, I did the nav install on my 08 Sierra, and I can't hear them at all, not is my traction control working. I know I have to install an amp, I just hope the blinkers are too loud after I get it installed. Any help would be appreciated.

ok I did some searching, and could not come up with a definate answer.

There are 2 different scenarios for the turn signal audible it seems. Both of which are very vague at best in GM's servce info.
1st scenario....non-amplified systems or vehicles that are non-bose, turn signals are produced by the radio, and come through the LF Speaker.
2nd scenario...bose systems, turn signals are produced by the radio, BUT run through amplifier and comeout the LF tweeter

These are just an educated guess as I could not get an answer otherwise. I will dig into the next couple vehicles I work on to try and figure it out.
