There is a way, but its not cheap. Check out http://coastaletech.com/

If you find a cheaper solution, let us know.

Hello, Everyone.. Need a little bit of help. When I bought my 2007 tahoe, the dealer had the navigation put in my truck (non bose). I had all the volume problems and etc. They took it out, after reading the forum of course I learned that i could re-install it using the jp custom parts. But now that I reinstalled the unit I don't hear the voice guide as loud as I was hearing them when the dealer installed the unit. The dealer installed a non dvd unit, I installed the dvd playing unit. Am I hooking something up wrong ?

Thanks

This doesnt sound like a big deal at all. Just go into the voice prompt settings, or nav settings and turn Her up!

Thanks biglg, but I did that already. The voice guide sounds low like the onstar button. When the dealer hooked it up, the onstar was low but the voice guide was loud.

Somehow you will have to get the program from GM. Then you will need to buy a Tech 2 machine. You can get the tech 2 device on ebay for 1-2,000k last time I looked. As for the software you will have to find that source.

Take them your receipt, or print out the invoice from paypal, ebay, etc. My dealer didnt ask this when I took mine to them. Maybe it is a difference in cities, or just dealers. Have you tried another dealer.
