Thanks - I just searched, but didn't see it. Can you please look at my pic attached and let me know which one should be connected to the VSS? i.e."the green one" or "the dark pink one."
(note - I am not asking for the wire by the brake pedal)
I read all 60+ pages of this thread (which is a great thread), but couldn't find what I needed. All the pics i seemed to come across with the brown plug I believe were non-existant. Thank you greatly in advance for the help.
did you happen to see my post on the previous page? go to post #632 and click on the link, every wire is explained in there.
you didn't mention what kind of truck you have so I'm assuming you have an '07 and up, unless you have an older model truck then I don't know, let me know and we go from there.

I have an 07. The link you mentioned, I believe is not working. Here's the message recieved when clicking, "Invalid Forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"
However, I did find from another source that the answer to my question is the VSS wire the green wire in my picture above in the brown connector. <!-- / main error message --><!-- <input type="submit" class="button" value="Go Back" accesskey="s" onclick="history.back(1); return false" />

well I think that happens if you don't have that many posts, but I might be wrong, but I'm glad you have it figured out.
if anything copy and paste the link and I guess it will take you there, it has the 4 plugs explained wire by wire, I found it by searching "schematics" and it only took me like 25 min to find it for another member that was in need of the placement of the VSS wire.

Shawn,
I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LTZ with OEM Nav/Bose System. I want to get bluetooth. After researching a while I learned that I need to upgrade both my Nav unit and the VCIM (with Bluetooth antenna) to atleast a 2009, 2010 if I want USB.
Am I walking into a nightmare?

Well I finally have an update regarding the "Destination Download" feature. I called Onstar and they opened a claim ticket. After about 1 week they called me with an update. They needed to send a refresh signal to my vehicle telling it that its now NAV capable. Once they did this, my navigation unit worked fine for destination downloads.

I was about to go that way, but too much problems. Read my posts, there is step by step guide and explain.
That's why i sold my OEM navi and bought Rosen OEM look unit. It's better than GM OEM. All is plug and play and works as charm.
I got Bose with rear overhead unit and all works great. Also navi and DVD works in drive mode.
only different is, if you have Bose or non Bose system. Basically u can add anything OEM in to it.
Backup camera will require wiring and backup camera.
