How much oil does a 2018 Suburban go through?
Hi All - just completed a 3k cross-country drive in 2018 Suburban and used about 62% of the oil in the vehicle which equates to my math of just under 5 quarts. No oil leak found on the pavement etc.
Is that normal? Have to drive it back across country and looks like need to find a place to change it mid-drive.
Thanks all

are you referring to oil life percentage or you had to add 5 quarts of oil in 3000km due to a low oil level?
8 quarts is the capacity for the system and you added 5...seems high. Gm had a tsb for the previous gen trucks and allowed 2 quarts per 3000miles as allowable.

then its normal. I run full synthetic and I change at a 6000 kilometer interval which is the severe service interval. when you have, afm, cam phasers that are oil controlled with small oil screens...don't run extended oil change intervals.
