Default I'm at the Chevy dealer and I got a few questions.

Howdy hey guys!

My wife and I currently have a 2013 Yukon XL Denali in diamond white.
However my wife is beginning to not like the color as much any more and wants black.
So I convinced her to go with Chevy instead of GMC for several reasons:

1) I hate the gmc heads and tails
2) the Z71 package offered in the Chevy burb
3) it's not nearly as expensive!
4) way too much chrome
5) did I mention I hate the gmc headlights and taillights?

Right now I'm sitting at the Chevy dealer and we've located a Black LT Z71 with all the options we want.

However I don't like the stock rims and tires as much.
I'm trying to swing in aftermarket rims and tires on this deal so I have a few questions.

1) when I did a test drive, I put the wheels at full lock and it looked pretty close to the control arms. They come stock with 31" tires and I was hoping I could fit 33" nitto terra grapplers on it. Think I'll rub? How bad?

2) I'm not sure on rims yet, but I know I'll stay with 18's. What offsets would y'all recommend? I'm fine with putting a 2" level on it if need be. But nothing more

3) what aftermarket rims and tire size are y'all running?

Thanks guys!

Welcome to the forum.

You said you were sticking with 18 inch wheels the LTZ come stock with 20 inch wheels. So if the LTZ you are looking at has 18 inch wheels, then the dealer has already swapped them with another vehicle. I am not at my desk right now but I believe the stock offset is plus 31 mm. if you do experience some rubbing with your new wheels, you can reshape the plastic fender liner using a heat gun.

Dont know if this helps, however my 07 suburban 2500 w3as leveled by adjusting the torsion bars. the only size tire offered on the 3/4 ton was 245/16's I put 265/16's on black
rims and they rubbed big time. I think 33's might be too big.

You can get a different offset in the aftermarket wheels that will keep the tire off of the control arm.

BTW Shark, he said it's an LT with the Z71, not an LTZ

That's what I'm wondering, who's running 18's with aggressive tread tires?

Not I. Mine's an LTZ. I see a bunch of them around, though most are lifted quite a bit. I'll see what I can dig up.

Well we got it!!

2013 Suburban LT Z71!!

I let the wife pick out the rims and I picked out tires.

She picked out 20" KMC Slides in black and I picked out 32" nitto terra grapplers! Should be an interesting mix!
