Default Installed Nav, now my Rear Screen doesn't work!!! Help!!!

Ok, here goes..

Installed factory new Nav unit (no unlock req'd) in my LTZ. Previously I had the Rear Seat Entertainment system (worked fine). I installed the unit in the dash, works perfectly, however MY REAR SEAT SCREEN/HEADPHONES don't work!!! I plugged three plugs into the back of the unit, black harness, purple harness, and grey harness.

On the Rear Seat unit the red lights are on, and the screen itself is backlit (dim luminescence to screen). The portable headphones do not work either. Replaced the remote batteries just in case and the unit still does not work. The dvd function controls (skip, play, etc) don't work on the remote either.

Any help would be great!

What is the part number on your new head unit? Does it have a dvd emblem in the bottom left corner (left corner when looking at the unit in the dash)???? Your part number needs to end in 66.

You need this part. I think it's offered by GM as an official fix for several issues.

LOL, dont think that tool is the answer. You have the right head unit. HOwever, I am not sure about the programming. I think dealer may still need to run tech 2.

DAVE/ZX can you please help him out. Sounds to me like something is plugged in, or tech 2 is needed?

Anybody have any info? Dave... Help! I'm hoping this is a Tech II issue, but I can't dare go to the dealer without definitive instructions, or I will get the whole "You can't just do that, the warranty is invalid, can't help you...on and on and on" you know how it goes with them.

I believe one of the steps during the tech 2 is to answer a series of questions about installed accessories, camera, rear dvd, etc. I would bet it needs to be programmed.
