Default Installing Universal Remote in 2009 Suburban

Greetings,
Just traded a 2000 Yukon XL in on a 2009 Suburban today, and already have a couple of upgrades in mind to get back some lost functionality. Most important would be getting back Homelink (which I understand isn't technically Homelink anymore). I found a detailed thread elsewhere about installing a replacement overhead panel in Silverados and Sierras, as well as a few mentions here, but nothing about a 2009 or newer model. I'm a Jeep guy and I don't really know anything technical about these beasts yet, so my question is if part 25848609 is still viable for 2009s, and if so, where does one get it? I see a lot of references to GM Parts Direct but they don't seem to have this anymore...

Welcome to the forum.

Never paid that much attention but thought the garage remote was standard in the GMT900. Guess not. I'm guessing you don't want to install the current GM universal remote.

If there's a current one with a different part number, I'd love to know about it. This was the only one I found that didn't also seem to have switches for power folding seats or a sunroof.

They dropped the power seat buttons somewhere along the line. Best check w/ your parts dept. for a current P/N.

Got a part number of 25977654, but nobody seems to have a picture or description of it specifically. None of these diagrams seem to match:

They all seem to have switches for either seats or a sunroof. Where do you go for GM parts to get a better look at something?

The parts dept will have similar pics for the P/Ns.
